JERRY LEE LEWIS

Jerry Lee arrived in Memphis in 1956 and started cutting tracks at SUN Records, playing piano behind KWEM alumni Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and Billy Lee Riley. He also performed with KWEM's Snearly Ranch Boys at the Cotton Club in West Memphis before cutting his own hit record, "Crazy Arms," at SUN. Jerry Lee soon became one of the most iconic figures in the annals of music history. He has a dozen gold records in both rock and country and won several Grammy awards. Lewis earned Rock and Roll Hall of Fame recognition in 1986.
