EDDIE BOND
KWEM 1951-1960
Bond joined KWEM as a youngster in 1951 and soon had the hottest band in the Memphis area, thanks to other KWEM regulars John Hughy (steel guitarist for Conway Twitty and Vince Gill) and Reggie Young (most recorded guitarist in history). Bond's first hit record in 1956 sent him on tour with Johnny Cash and Carl Perkins. Bond also became one of KWEM's top DJ's. The Rockabilly Hall of Fame has recognized Bond's contribution to music history.
